In questo post voglio introdurre un altro personaggio di una nuova saga.  La saga di Shadowhunters che ha come protagonista Clarissa Adele Fairchild, detta amorevolmente Clary Fray, figlia di Jocelyn Fairchild e Valentine Morgenstern il noto come leader del Circolo.

Vivendo una vita da mondana, termine dato a persone che non hanno poteri magici, sotto falso cognome, Clary vive con sua madre Jocelyn al sicuro da suo fratello e da suo padre, Jhonatan, che minaccia di nuovo il suo mondo.

Squilibrando il suo mondo, Clary intanto si mette in viaggio con gli Shadowhunter per fermarli.

Per molto tempo, Clary è stata soggetta ad esperimenti di suo padre a causa del suo sangue di Angelo senza che lei lo sapesse, da qui assume l’abilità di richiamare delle potenti rune, scritte nel Libro Grigio

Nata completamente sarcastica e testarda, tutte caratteristiche della madre, ma anche una persona comprensiva e compassionevole, per gli amici e la sua famiglia Clary è disposta a fare qualsiasi cosa.

Nata dopo un anno dopo suo fratello Jonathan.

Jocelyn ripudiava le idee di Valentine da prima che nascesse Clary, e soffriva di depressione e sperando di aiutarla Valentine le diede segretamente del sangue di Ithuriel, sperando di curare la sua “malattia” ignorando che fosse incinta di Clary, rendendo la figlia un esperimento involontario.

Cosi Jocelyn appena saputosi della cosa tramò la sua Rivolta con Greymark, inizialmente avrebbe preferito lasciare Valentine, ma sapeva che l’avrebbe seguita e quindi sperava di ucciderlo per proteggere sua figlia non ancora nata.

Quando Jocelyn riuscì nella sua impresa, Valentine le giurò vendetta. Quindi “scappò” dalla sua vita da Shodowhunter per crescere sua figlia lontano da  quel mondo e crescerla a New York.

Ma con il passare del tempo Jocelyn riconobbe che sua figlia avesse una “Vista” differente, perché alcuni Shodowhunter venivano addestrati per “vedere” il Mondo Della Ombre, che Clary vedeva chiaramente da quando aveva 3 anni e questo spinse sua madre ad andare da Magnus Bane per rimuoverle il dono, ma per non mettere a rischio la vita di Clary Jocelyn chiese a Magnus di compiere un incantesimo per cancellare i ricordi Clary e del Mondo delle Ombre, ma gli venne fatto un incantesimo che doveva essere ripetuto ogni 3 anni.

Cosi un giorno Jocelyn insieme a Magnum e Tessa Gray e si offri volontaria per praticare degli incantesimi su Fray tipicamente di protezione che venivano eseguite spesso sui bambini Shadowhunters di solito eseguiti da un famigliare, cosi adottarono il nome Fray che la composizione del nome: Fairchild e Gray.

Clary aveva cinque anni quando Luke incontrò Jocelyn e cosi accettò rimanere con loro, che infine instaurò con Clary un rapporto padre-figlia, l’anno dopo Clary incontrò Simon Lewis e diventarono inseparabili e passò quasi tutto il tempo della sua vita con lei e infine innamorandosi e non riuscì a nasconderlo a nessuno tranne che a lei, ma per lei rimase il migliore amico che avesse mai avuto, considerandolo  un fratello.

Cosi Clary nacque con la convinzione che suo padre era un soldato morto in guerra di nome Jonathan Clark  e che le iniziali sulle scatola di sua madre(J.C) erano sue e di suo fratello Jonathan Christofer.

Con questo ho raccontato la storia iniziale di Clary e non nei libri che cominciano con la “Città di Ossa” per questo aspetto che recensiscano gli altri della serie.
