“The Others” è un film scritto e diretto da Alejandro Amenàbar, ispirato al libro di Henry James “Giro di Vite”, i suoi principali interpreti sono: Nicole Kidman, Fionnula Flanagan, Christopher Eccleston, Eleine Cassidy, Eric Sykes, Alakina Mann e James Bentley. Il film ha ricevuto molte critiche positive in particolare per la regia, la sceneggiatura e la colonna sonora che sono di Alejandro Amenàbar e infine l’atmosfera e l’interpretazione di Nicole Kidman.
TRAMA
Rachel e i suoi due bambini vivono in una grande casa isolata sull’isola di New Jersey, un’isola che fa parte del canale della Manica, un giorno arrivano tre domestici che cambiano radicalmente la vita di Grace e dei suoi figli

Grace Stewart/Nicole Kidman: E’ una giovane madre molto protettiva e severa verso i suoi bambini, ma la sua severità la porta ad essere “cieca” sui veri pericoli della vita e sulla realtà che la circonda.
Anne E Nicolas/Alakina Mann e James Bentley: Sono i figli di Grace ed hanno una malattia che li rende fotosensibili per questo sono costretti a vivere solo alla luce di una candela, con il passare del tempo i due bambini, specialmente Anne, capiscono che nella loro casa è cambiato qualcosa dall’arrivo dei tre domestici e che la loro malattia è “cambiata”
Bertha Mills, Lydia, Mr. Edmoud Toutle/Fionnula Flanagan, Eleine Cassidy, Eric Seyes: Sono tre sconosciuti che si presentano all’improvviso a casa di Grace e si presentano come domestici, la donna li accoglie volentieri avendo bisogno di un aiuto in casa. Con una grande quantità di nomination tra vari festival e ben 8 Goya, questo film può sembrare una normale ghost stories che non meritava molta attenzione, ma il fatto che il regista si sia ispirato al romanzo di Henry James (1868) e il film di Suspense (1961) e la fotografia ispirata a quella Hitchcock, lo rendono molto interessante. Alejandro A. omaggia Hitchcock dando alla protagonista, interpretata da Nicole Nicole Kidman, il nome Grace in onore di Grace Kelly. Nonostante i vari influssi differenti, questo film appare con una tecnica studiata con una sceneggiatura dagli interessanti risvolti il che l’ha reso uno dei film significativi degli ultimi vent’anni. In questo film vengono ignorati però alcuni particolari come i silenzi e gli elementi nascosti come il make up di cui si serve A. Amenabar per tenere fisso lo spettatore sullo schermo e sia la musica che la fotografia giocano sul contrasto tra luce e ombra, mentre il suono alza la scena della rivelazione.
La paura non viene legata al classico jumps scares, ma consiste nell’attesa della suspance e ci sono tutti gli elementi che caratterizzano l’ambiente come la nebbia, la notte, il cielo nuvoloso e un bosco che isola la famiglia e la casa in mezzo al nulla e queste sono tutte figurazioni tipiche “romantiche” di quel secolo e fuori dalla casa, nella foresta, c’è una terribile realtà che Grace non vuole vedere.
The Others comunque non viene considerato un film dell’orrore, ma non perché ci sono fantasmi e altre forze sovrannaturali, ma perché si parla “dell’orrore del vero” ovvero credere nella presenza del paranormale, in altre entità/Dei in questo caso credere in altro che non sia la Bibbia, Grace non conosce la casa quanto crede e a volte si stupisce da trovare alcuni oggetti che non conosceva e anche mostrandosi una fervente cattolica non riesce a comprendere alcune parole della Bibbia, parole a cui lei NON vuole credere, nonostante lo citino le sacre scritture, inoltre Grace è l’IO Freudiano che rifiuta il proprio Sè, perché rifiuta la consapevolezze della realtà. La frase che si accosta al nome di The Others è “Fiat Lux” ovvero la luce diurna che entra nella casa ovvero “le tenebre” il male e il bene “la luce”, ma i raggi solari ora “portano la morte” per i bambini che sono fotosensibili, ma secondo Amenabar la luce in questo caso è una metafora che rappresenta la coscienza di se e questa luce preme su Grace in particolare fin dall’inizio, ma lei non accetta la verità ne per se stessa ne per i figli.

With a large amount of nominations across various festivals and as many as 8 Goyas, this film may seem like a normal ghost story that didn’t deserve much attention, but the fact that the director was inspired by the Henry James novel (1868) and the Suspenseful film (1961) and Hitchcock-inspired photography make it very interesting. Alejandro A. pays homage to Hitchcock by giving the protagonist, played by Nicole Nicole Kidman, the name Grace in honor of Grace Kelly.
Despite the various different influences, this film appears with a technique studied with a scneggatura with interesting implications which made it one of the significant films of the last twenty years. In this film, however, some details are ignored such as silences and hidden elements such as the make-up used by A. Amenabar to keep the viewer fixed on the screen and both music and photography play on the contrast between light and shadow, while the sound lifts the scene of revelation.
Il Sacrificio di Un Cervo Sacro
E’ un film del 2017 diretto da Yorgos Lanthimos è un thriller psicologico da una sceneggiatura scritta da Lanthimos e Efthymis Filippous. Interpretato da Colin Farrel, Nicole Kidman e Barry Coeghan, basato sulla tragedia di Euripide “Ifigenia”, ognuno dei personaggi all’interno del film rappresentano un personaggi metaforico della tragedia. E’ stato selezionato in concorso per la Palma D’Oro nella sezione principale del Festival Di Cannes 2017.

TRAMA:
Steven Marphy è uno stimato chirurgo di grande notorietà all’inizio del film lo vediamo compiere un intervento a cuore aperto, ma il rapporto dell’operazione non viene spiegato, dopo di che comincia ad incontrarsi in una caffetteria con un ragazzo di nome Martin.
Steven vive con la sue bela moglie Anna, anche lei dottore, e con i loro due figli Kim e Bob, un giorno Bob non riesce ad alzarsi dal letto dicendo che ha le gambe atrofizzate cosi Steven comincia a fargli fare tutte le visite possibili, ma il ragazzo non mostra nessuna malattia o sintomi, ma non riesce in nessun modo a riprendere la sensibilità, in seguito, dopo questo fatto, le visite di Martin diventano più insistenti, quasi ossessive, fino a che Martin invita Steven alla caffetteria dell’ospedale e gli dice che la “strana malattia” di Bob è solo l’inizio di una “maledizione” che presto farà morire tutti i membri della sua famiglia, tranne lui, perché avendo ucciso suo padre, dovrà solo LUI decidere chi sacrificare della sua famiglia.

Il film è basato su un anno delle vita di Grace Kelly divenuta Principessa in seguito alle nozze con il Principe Ranieri III. E’diretto da Olivier Dahan che vede come protagonisti e principali Nicole Kidman come Grace Kelly, Tim Roth come il Principe Ranieri III e Paz Vega come Maria Callas. Diretto da Olivier Dahan e scritto da Arash Amel il film apre il Festival di Cannes 2014 fuori dalla ricorrenza dell’evento.
La trama è stata molto criticata dalla famiglia Grimaldi definendola un “inutile glamour” e con delle inesattezze storiche.
Olivier Dahan è un regista e sceneggiatore francese il quale girò anche dei clip musicali per i “Cramberries” e “Zucchero” uno dei suoi successi è la “Vie En Rose” nel 2007 che ha come protagonista Marion Cottilard nei panni di Edith Piaf.

In seguito ottenne il permesso di girare nella piazza principale e presso il Casinò di Montecarlo, mentre nel a Gennaio nel 2013 tornò in Italia, Genova, nella famosa Galleria degli Specchi che traformarono nel Palazzo Dei Principi di Monaco. Al film hanno anche partecipato le due eredi al Trono delle sue Sicilie, Carlo di Borbone-Le Due Sicilie.La sceneggiatura è stata scritta Arash Amel che è stata una delle scritture più apprezzate e una delle produzioni più vendute del francese Pierre-Ange Le Pogam.
LA RISPOSTA DELLA FAMIGLIA GRIMALDI
Il 16 Gennaio 2013, poco la fine della ripresa, il Principe Alberto II, la Principessa Caroline e la Principessa Stèphanie di Monaco, hanno criticato la scennegiatura del film giudicandolo impreciso con molti cambiamenti che erano stati ignorati e pertanto la famiglia insistette con il dire che questo film non era affatto una biografia.

Mulin Rouge!
E’ un film musical del 2001 di Baz Luhrmann ispirato alla Traviata di Giuseppe Verdi. I brani cantati in questo film sono rivisitazioni di brani storici di musica pop la maggior parte interpretate dai due attori principali Nicole Kidman e Ewan McGregor che hanno sorpreso tutti con le loro doti canore pur non essendo cantanti professionisti.
Nel storia sono stati inseriti personaggi di fantasia e non in grado di racchiudere le quatto principali parole del movimento Bohémien: Amore, Bellezza, Verità e Libertà.
La sua uscita è stata considerata come la rinascita dei musical che sino ad ora erano presi in considerazione solo dai classici Disney, il film è stato il vincitore di due premi oscar, su otto nomination, miglior scenografia e migliori costumi anche se a mio parere , il film avrebbe maritatto molte più vincite oscar in quanto Nicole Kidman e Ewen Mcgregor non erano cantanti professioni e per le scenografie perfettamente riprodotte
Lo stile di Baz Luhrmann si basa su uso frenetico del montaggio e della macchina da presa, è autore di Ballroom – Gara di ballo, Romeo + Giulietta, Australia e il Grande Gasby, e una parte d’attenzione dei suoi film va molto al Melò e ai musical.
PERSONAGGI PRINCIPALI:
Satine/Nicole Kidman: E’ la stella/cortigiana principale del Mulin Rouge, sogna diventare un’attrice, ma per realizzarlo deve riuscire a sedurre il Duca di Monroth un uomo dotato buoni mezzi economici, ma che infine si rivela un uomo arrogante e cattivo
Christian/Ewan Mcgregor: narratore e scrittore della vicenda che s’innamora di Satine, riesce a conoscere Toulouse per poter riuscire ad entrare al Mulin Rouge per colpire Satine, con le sue poesie e le sue opere, la ragazza lo scambia per il Duca, che la voleva incontrare, finge di essere innamorata di lui.
Herold Zidler/Jim Bradbent: Padre di Santine e impresario del Mulin Rouge promette alla ragazza di farle incontrare il Duca per aiutarla ad esaudire i suoi desideri, ma il Duca gli chiede in cambio dei finanziamenti per il teatro chiede di passare una notte con la ragazza
Il Duca di Monroth/Richard Roxburgh: Uomo di grandi stabilità economiche, accetta di finanziare il Mulin Rouge e l’opera di Christian e di trasformare il Mulin Rouge in un teatro, ma chiede in cambio una notte con la ragazza, quando scopre della storia d’amore di Satine e Christian, tenta di uccidere il ragazzo.
CAST:
Per il ruolo di Christian vennero presi in considerazione anche atri attori come Leonardo Di Caprio, Jake Gyllenhaal ed Heath Ledger, la cantante australiana Kyle Minogue venne scelta per interpretare la “Fata Verde” dell’assenzio.
TRAMA:
Parigi, 1899: la storia inizia con l’arrivo di Christian a Montmartre a Parigi, che un giovane scrittore in cerca di fortuna, durante la sua permanenza conosce un pittore Toulouse-Lautrec, il maggior esponente del movimento Bohémien, che vuole subito presentarlo a Satine per farle conoscere il suo talento e inscenare la sua opera, ma la stessa sera che Christian s’incontra con Satine, anche il Duca voleva vedere la ragazza, ma durante la sua esibizione Satine scambia Christian con lui.
Una volta nella sua stanza Satine, la Stanza Rossa, cerca di sedurre Christian pensando che sia il Duca, ma subito dopo il Duca bussò alla sua porta, quando l’uomo s’accorse di Christian, Satine disse che era l’autore dell’opera che volevano presentare al Mulin Rouge. Durante le prove Satine e Christian s’innamorano, il Duca, la sera della prima della spettacolo, tenta di uccidere il ragazzo, ma Satine, per salvarlo e sapendo di e di essersi ammalata di tubercolosi, gli dice che ha sempre finto con lui e non l’ha mai amato cosi Christian, sentendosi tradito, perde la testa e proprio durante lo spettacolo fa una scenata che per tutti prendono come parte dello spettacolo, grazie all’abilità di recitazione di Herold.
Ma all’ultimo atto, nel cantare la canzone che Christian aveva scritto per lei, Christian capisce che tutta una manovra, e tornando insiedro il Duca da l’ordine al suo cecchino di uccidere Christian, ma la pistola viene presa e bloccata da Toulouse. I bohemien riescono ad avere il loro finale, poco dopo la fine dello spettacolo, Satine cade tra le braccia di Christian, che essendo malata, gli chiede che il suo ultimo desiderio, di scrivere la loro storia.

In origine la sceneggiatura prevedeva che Satine avesse un figlio di 3 anni e Christian raccontasse la storia proprio a lui. La storia è una rivisitazione della “Travita” di Giuseppe Verdi e la “La Signora delle camelie” di Alexander Dumas, il film ha un ambientazione ispirata alla “La Bohème” di Giacomo Puccini e “Boule De Suif” di Guy De Paussant. Toulouse-Lautrec fu uno dei più importanti pittori di quell’epoca, ma non prese parte al teatro.
TECNICA DI RIPRESA
Il film è stato girato interamente a Sidney negli studi Fox. L’attore John Leguizamo (Touluse-Lautrec) ha recitato per tutto il tempo delle riprese in ginocchio in seguito le gambe le furono cancellate in post produzione.

Nonostante i soli due oscar vinti contro le otto nomination avute, il film fu accettato positivamente dalla critiche, ha preso sei nomination al Golden Globe e ben tredici candidature ai BAFTA Awards rendendolo il film più nominato dell’anno del 2001, per quella cerimonia, infine ha portato a casa 3 premi BAFTA tra cui uno in onore di Jim Broadbent.

It is a 2001 Baz Luhrmann musical film inspired by Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi. The songs sung in this movie are revisions of pop music history most played by the two main actors Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor who have all surprised with their singing skills while not being professional singers.
Fantasy characters have been inserted in the story and can not enclose the four main words of the Bohemian movement: Love, Beauty, Truth and Freedom.
